Layne Lutz -
I grew up in a small town called Ellwood City. Since I was a child, my brother and I would film our own home videos with our grandmother's video camera. It became clear to me in high school that this was something I would want to do with my life. I would take video production classes every year and every quarter, even progressing to ECTV; Our school's live stream production class to broadcast news to our school and our town on Channel 52. Until I started taking these classes, I was highly involved with sports; playing baseball all of elementary school, and football until 10th grade. I was also in band class since 4th grade on percussion; this was what started my love for music. In Summer of my 10th grade year after quitting football, I started writing music with my classmate from video production. After playing a few shows and finally recording our first song, I fell in love with Audio Engineering. PTI then visited our school and explained to me that their institute could give me the tools to achieve my dream and teach me how to perfect using them. To this day, I could never imagine my life any different.
